In Part 1, I told you why you should create informational products, and why those electronic products are better than traditional print books from a bookstore. This is an extraordinary way to make money online. In this article, I'll share five great tips so you can create your own profitable information products.

Tip 1: Consider what your customers are giving, and what they expect in return.

Your customer is making a trade, his money for your knowledge. Make it easy by offering your customers something truly special. E-books on making money are always popular, and many customers are willing to pay $47 for an e-book that explains how to make $4700, save $4700, or keep $4700 more of their income away from the tax-man.

Your customer would probably trade $47 for information which clearly explains how to do something, saving them two days of frustration. On the other hand, they probably don't want to spend $47 on cute stories about my children or recipes for chicken. Offer them something of value - give them a real deal!

Tip 2: Try to include one or more of these angles in any information product.

How will your information product benefit your customers? Tell them how it will help them to:

earn more money

save people money?

save more money for retirement

save people pain (physical, emotional or financial)?

Tell your customers exactly how your product will help them in ways they can understand, and your sales will soar!

Tip 3: Break your long ebook into parts.

Break your current info products into smaller sections, then sell them all together. Sound crazy? It's not! Your client is spending $47 - would he rather get one e-book, or a series of three e-books? Give him three books, and he will feel as though he got more bang for his buck. What a great value!

Tip 4: Make the Purchase a "No-Brainer" - Add Bonus Material!

After you create an information product, go out an find about 5 to 6 related products that you can offer as bonuses. If I am buying a $47 ebook and you offer me $500 in downloadable bonuses, it makes the buying decision very easy. I recommend downloadable bonuses because they are easy to deliver and don't cost you anything. This is also a good excuse to get their email for your owner's list - you need their email to deliver their bonuses.

Tip 5: Sell to Existing Clients First

Too many online business owners make this mistake - they chase new clients relentlessly, while neglecting their current clients. Over time, those clients trickle away. Don't let that happen to you. Take steps to ensure their continued loyalty, which they have already demonstrated by being your customer in the first place.

Your existing customers are part of your niche. Go ahead, ask them what they want. You'll be surprised at the answers, and they will feel honored that you took the time to ask. Once you know, start to create products that fill their needs, the needs that they identified themselves. In no time, you'll be the expert in your field!
